AboutMe

In the fall of 1996, I was selected as a DNA forensic analyst for the Texas Department of Public Safety.  During this time, I saw the darkest parts of man and the futility of the justice system in the deterrance of crime and the emptiness all crimes (even those in which justice has been served). During this time, I fell in love with Behavioural Analyisis and the study of the serial killer. As a result of this, I elected to leave the field I spend my undergraduate career studying most of my life.

It was then that I elected complete a degree in my first love, English Literature.  It was here that I developed my love of the Gothic and applied the same analysis to characters in fiction as FBI Profilers do to the criminal mind.  It is this same technique we will use in this course.
